On Monday evening, officers responded to Miller Hall for a medical evaluation. A student reported that he had been hit with a snowball and was in pain. He was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
Motor Vehicle Violation
On Wednesday afternoon, Campus Police investigated a report of a vehicle illegally parked in a parking spot reserved for President's Office staff. Officers determined that the car was registered to a Bentley student, but that the car's registration was expired, as was the student's driver's license. The vehicle was towed from campus, and the student will be judicially charged.
Breaking & Entering
On Thursday just past noon, officers responded to Elm Hall for a report of a breaking and entering. The case remains under investigation.
Drug Violation
Thursday night, just before midnight, Campus Police investigated a report of drug use in Falcone West. Officers were told by the complainant that students were using marijuana in their room. As officers investigated, they discovered drug paraphernalia, for which the residents will be judicially charged.
Theft
On Friday evening just before 1 a.m., Campus Police responded to North Campus Building D, for a report of a vending machine that had been vandalized. Officers found that the glass had been smashed and some of the contents of the vending machine had been taken. Officers discovered that the same had just happened in North Campus Building C, where a witness reported watching 2 male students throw a piece of furniture at the vending machine and steal the contents. After a brief investigation, officers located the students involved, who will face several judicial charges for the incident.
On Saturday evening at approximately 3:15 p.m., a student reported that her purse had been stolen from the Student Center. Officers were unable to locate any suspects, so the case is closed unless new information comes to light.
On Sunday morning, a supervisor at Harry's Corner reported discovering Bentley students stealing food. Officers determined that two students had stolen a "Paid" stamp, ordered food, and marked the receipts as paid. While the case remains under investigation, Campus Police has located the suspects, who were subjected to judicial charges.
At 10:15 a.m. on Monday (Dec. 10) morning, officers investigated a student's report that his laptop had been stolen from the library. He told officers that he had left his bag in the library, and, when he returned, he discovered that his laptop was missing. Due to a lack of suspects, the case is closed unless new information comes to light.
Fire!
Early Saturday morning, Campus Police and Waltham Fire were dispatched to Forest Hall, in the rear of the building, for a report of a dumpster fire. The fire was easily extinguished, but due to a lack of suspects, the case has been closed.
